On Monday 23rd July The Mill at Sonning is celebrating it's 25th Anniversary with a special charity gala performance. Fifty actors will take part. Twenty five years ago (July 1982) the 18th Century Flour Mill on the Thames was converted into a Dinner Theatre by Tim & Eileen Richards. There has been a Mill at Sonning since the 11th Century. It was one of the last working flour mills when it closed in 1969. Sally Hughes, the current Artistic Director, is planning to install new air conditioning in the restaurant with a special water system taken from the Thames. There will also be a new rehearsal block.
