Wendy Houstoun and Gary Clarke - 2 Men & a Michael/Keep Dancing

Wendy Houstoun and Gary Clarke

Work:: Wendy Houstoun and Gary Clarke (S1816410899)

Production:: 2 Men & a Michael/Keep Dancing (T086936488)

Gary Clarke brings to the stage his comic duet 2 Men & a Michael, a dead pan send up of stand-up via Gilbert & George and Morecambe & Wise. Dressed to KILL, two idiots are locked in a constant loop of shenanigans and nonsense where something means nothing and nothing is anything. Sharp, witty and incredible funny, this short work is crammed to the brim with snapshot moments and unfinished efforts. Wendy Houstoun is a dance theatre artist who combines movement with text and meaning with humour. In her latest solo, Keep Dancing, computer talk gets demanding and the performer gets trapped inside her own construct. Keep Dancing is all about persistence, age, visibility, inertia, fighting, surrendering, continuing and dancing.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
