Tom Dale Dance Company - MOKO Dance Tour: Digitopia

Work:: Tom Dale Dance Company (S516967973)

Tom Dale's choreography is a style of its own; cutting between raw, aggressive and visceral movement and refined precision to create dynamic and unpredictable dance.

Production:: MOKO Dance Tour: Digitopia (T0726352126)

Digitopia follows the adventures of Dotty and her friend Hex, a simple two dimensional line. Hex can make angles and the most he can make is six. His favourite shape is a hexagon. He's happy with this, but one day he really wants to make a curve. With a lot of effort he learns to bend, then multiply, and suddenly he can create all kinds of shapes, eventually popping into three dimensions, discovering he can turn into anything he wants to. Dotty follows Hex into his newly created digital world, setting off on a rollercoaster ride of surprises. Commissioned by MOKO Dance in association with Warwick Arts Centre Digitopia is a new dance production by Tom Dale Company for children and their families to tour the UK. Digitopia is aimed at audiences aged 5+ years and their families, as well as school groups Key Stage 1 and 2.
