The Dream - is a narrative ballet based on Shakespeare's comedy. A Midsummer Night's Dream. Song of the Earth - Set to Mahler's great song cycle Das Lied von der Erde the composer's poignant farewell to the joy and beauty of the world, which uses setting of ancient Chinese poems. In this ballet, music, poetry and choreography combine to show that whilst our individual lives are short, the earth is an eternal process of renewal. Running time: The Dream 50 minutes, Song of the Earth 63 minutes.
