The Cows Come Home

The Cows Come Home

Work:: The Cows Come Home (S01214869995)

Startling poetic movements fuse with live electro-acoustic sounds evoking a modern-day tragic chorus facing the Great Going Down. Experience rare bite-sized dance theatre, lean on the text, heavy on images, with bits of Oedipus and mad cows thrown in. It will melt in your mind. Zeb Fontaine's third production of tragic transpositions explores the chorus in the twenty-first century. In ancient times, a chorus inhabited another world and also the present. Its message was unclear yet profoundly humane. 'The Cows' journeys to a sensory world one littered with the detritus of tragic memories before the chorus comes home. Features a select cut of dancers and artists from Sweden, Spain, France, Italy and the UK.
