Sylvain Emard Danse (Montreal) - Wave

Sylvain Emard Danse (Montreal)

Work:: Sylvain Emard Danse (Montreal) (S1854572175)

Sylvain ?mard first distinguished himself as a dancer working with renowned choreographers such as Jean-Pierre Perreault, Jo Lechay and Louise Bedard before he formed Sylvain ?mard Danse, in 1987. His repertoire of over twenty unique pieces reveals a creator in full command of his talent, an artist who has won the admiration of audiences at home and abroad.

Production:: Wave (T067231452)

Wave is the last chapter of Sylvain Émard’s Climatology of Bodies cycle. In this highly acclaimed trilogy, Sylvain Émard uses the climate as a metaphor for external influences that affect our lives. Wave explores with finesse our capacity and our individual desire to melt, to become part of an increasingly vast and multidimensional environment. Performed by five exceptional female dancers, this tidal wave sweeps forth to reveal dance as the exquisitely tuned music of bodies. Energetic, remarkable and moving beyond words.
