Stephen Petronio Company - Bud Suite/BLOOM/Lareigne

Stephen Petronio Company

Work:: Stephen Petronio Company (S955)

New York dance star. Provocative modern dance. The company of nine dancers combine emotion and energy with tenderness and vulnerability in an intense display at the cutting edge of modern dance.

Production:: Bud Suite/BLOOM/Lareigne (T01683420807)

UK Premiere. The sheer physicality of iconic New York choreographer Stephen Petronio's steps is perfectly complemented by the sincere and compelling score by hip recording artist Rufus Wainwright, commissioned for BLOOM. Presented with 2005's Bud Suite (also set to Wainwright), BLOOM is performed by Petronio's nine dancers backed by a specially assembled London-based children's choir. Also on the programme is Lareigne, featuring Petronio's signature whiplash movement and sensual force.
