UK Premiere. Sagalobeli - Traditional Georgian music performed live by Changi. The UK premiere of a new ballet by San Francisco Ballet Choreographer-in-Residence and former Bolshoi star Yuri Possokhov, Sagalobeli is a stylish marriage of folk dance and classical ballet. Duo Concertant - Stravinsky's starkly beautiful work for violin and piano provides a fitting soundscape for a sinuously unfolding relationship between two dancers. Bizet Variations (Pas De Six) - Director of Ballet at the Bolshoi Theatre, Alexei Ratmansky's new work for the State Ballet of Georgia is a lyrical ballet based on Bizet's masterpiece Chromatic Variations for solo piano. Chaconne - In Chaconne, Balanchine uses his choreography for productions of Orpheus and Eurydice to create a neo-classical ballet of great beauty, set to Gluck's inspirational music. Run time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes.
