Rosas (Belgium) - Repertory Evening - Quatour No 4/Die Grosse Fuge/Verklarte Nacht

Rosas (Belgium)

Work:: Rosas (Belgium) (S0852645471)

Production:: Repertory Evening - Quatour No 4/Die Grosse Fuge/Verklarte Nacht (T0222730522)

Focus on Rosas continues with Repertory Evening, a long-awaited opportunity to re-visit three of De Keersmaeker’s signature pieces from the 80s and 90s. In Quatuor No. 4 a quartet of women dance with rebellious energy, impish good humour and sensuality to Béla [Bartók]’s string quartet. Beethoven’s Die Grosse Fuge provides a companion to it, accompanying a rigorous work for eight men exploring interaction, unity and conflict. Placed between the two is an intense piece for seven men and six women set to Verklärte Nacht by Arnold Schönberg. The Duke Quartet will accompany Rosas in this evening of De Keersmaeker classics.
