Rosas (Belgium) - D'un soir un jour

Rosas (Belgium)

Work:: Rosas (Belgium) (S0852645471)

Production:: D'un soir un jour (T01843148818)

UK Premiere. Complete integration with music has always been at the core of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s choreographic work. Her new creation D'un soir un jour, features six works by three renowned composers: Claude Debussy, Igor Stravinsky and George Benjamin. D’un soir un jour begins with Debussy’s haunting Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune and finishes with Jeux. George Benjamin’s pieces, Dance Figures (2005) and Ringed by the Flat Horizon (1979), are at the centre of the work. Forming the transitions are Stravinsky’s powerful compositions, Fireworks and Symphony of Wind Instruments. Within this taut musical structure, the company of fourteen dancers vividly brings to life De Keersmaeker’s vision of a day and its fleeting moments.
