Resolution! is The Place's annual festival of new works presented by a range of diverse emerging dance-artists.

Production:: Fuora Dance Project/CieMulator Dance/Konstantina Skalionta (T825331803)

The Last Maiden - Inspired by a Sicilian fairy tale, this piece plays on the dualisms of divine-human and desire-reality. Three mysterious figures drive you into their most intimate dimension, leaving you with a question. The piece takes inspiration from the Sicilian fairy tale "Le Donne Di Fuora". The legend, using Giuseppe Pitre's version, speaks of 7 maidens who come to the courtyard of the Saint Claire Monastery at sundown to transport both men and women to a magical place where all of their deepest desires become reality. This only lasts until sunrise, when the fairies return the humans back to reality and disappear, leaving them with nothing but memories of paradise. Duration: 90mins
