Rambert Dance Company - L'eveil/Swansong/Gran Partita/Infinity

Rambert Dance Company

Work:: Rambert Dance Company (S887)

Britain's biggest and most exciting touring dance company who often tour two programmes at a time. Dancing to a mixture of musical styles they provide enormously watchable evenings.
Company Rambert Dance Company

Production:: L'eveil/Swansong/Gran Partita/Infinity (T1166278664)

L'eveil is an abstract piece for six women, loosely inspired by aspects of femininity and influenced by the power of the female voice through song. Featuring live singer Melanie Marshall, it is perfomed to Kurt Weill's Je ne t'aime pas and Leslie Bricusse's Feeling Good, with costumes inspired by world-renowned fashion designer [Roland Mouret}. Swansong Revival Premiere - an intensely potent depiction of interrogation that is dramatic and sinister, but ultimately uplifting. Gran Partita is set to four movements from Mozart's exceptional piece of the same name. Capturing the verve and beauty of the music in movement, this emotional and dramatic piece complements Mozart's heart-melting sound. The celebrated designer Jean Marc Puissant's fresh scenery and costumes create a dreamy poetic world. Infinity explores the dramatic and often brutal passage towards life's inevitable end, through an avalanche of striking and relentles physical limagery.
