Rambert Dance Company - Ghost Dances and other works

Rambert Dance Company

Work:: Rambert Dance Company (S887)

Britain's biggest and most exciting touring dance company who often tour two programmes at a time. Dancing to a mixture of musical styles they provide enormously watchable evenings.
Company Rambert Dance Company

Production:: Ghost Dances and other works (T1310722458)

Christopher Bruce's masterpiece, Ghost Dances, is possibly the most popular work in Rambert's history. It tells stories of love and compassion, as death - in the form of the iconic 'ghost dancers' - interrupts the daily lives of a series of ordinary people. Visually referencing the Day of the Dead, and driven by bewitching Latin American folk music, it is a moving, intensely human work. This triple bill also includes a brand new dance theatre creation by rising star Ben Duke, inspired by the music and spirit of Nina Simone, with a selection of her best-loved songs performed on stage. Completing the programme is an all-action work by internationally acclaimed choreographer Andonis Foniadakis.
