Project O - Voodoo

Project O

Work:: Project O (S791044632)

Production:: Voodoo (T1853570815)

Over the course of four hours, Project O dance themselves out of the desire and expectation of an aesthetic assimilation. Voodoo's durational unfolding becomes a play with time and subjectivity: a science fiction that addresses the desire, confusion and responsibility felt as individuals, who are also symbols of many long-persecuted people. A ritual that is an attempt to never be caught or trapped, to visit and leave behind former selves, to move and to transform, celebrating the radical power of dance to explore, heal and challenge the violence of systematic oppression that haunts our society.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
