National Dance Company Wales (NDCWales) - The Grammar of Silence/By Singing Light/Dream

Work:: National Dance Company Wales (NDCWales) (S161518799)

Formerly Diversions
Company NDCWales

Production:: The Grammar of Silence/By Singing Light/Dream (T1547255698)

Itzik Galili's The Grammar Of Silence is a high energy, personal and moving production. Using confined and open spaces, with a stage punctured by violent shafts of light, Galili creates a dance language that combines into a dramatic and poignant narrative. Back by popular demand Stephen Petronio's By Singing Light is a profound dance response to the poetry of Dylan Thomas. The Welsh songs of Mansel Thomas inspired composer Son Lux to create a lyrical, yet power-driven score which effortlessly partners the choreography to make a classic and seminal work for the Company. Renowned choreographer Christopher Bruce creates a sublimely humorous work in honour of the 2012 Olympics. With witty references to both sporting competition and Jubilee celebrations past and present, it creates a relationship with the art of dance and celebrates the sheer enjoyment of highly physical movement in all its forms.
