Dancers Darren Ellis and Pari Naderi give the world premiere of Green Apples, the latest work by choreographer Mark Bruce set to a soundtrack of songs by The White Stripes. Mark is one of 20 commissioned choreographers of The Place Prize 2006. Janis Claxton makes her debut at the Royal Opera House with her solo work Blue, choreographed to an original composition by Edinburgh-based composer Pippa Murphy. Blue was originally commissioned by Dance Bristol with support from Dance Base Edinburgh. Also making her ROH debut is Finnish choreographer Tanja Raman with Kuuluako, a collaboration with dancer Jem Treays and visual artist and sound designer John Collingswood. The duet features live manipulation of electronic soundscapes and integrated video projection.
