Marie-Louise Flexen - Limelight and Lunacy/Better Red Than Dead

Work:: Marie-Louise Flexen (S1655456989)

Production:: Limelight and Lunacy/Better Red Than Dead (T0999905062)

Better Red Than Dead delivers an unorthodox account of the famous Red Riding Hood tale in the woods, an interpretation that combines dance, theatre and humour. Limelight and Lunacy was researched at The Place as part of Choreodrome 2003. This work has assembled bawdy and absurd Victoriana to revel in the ridiculous. A dig at the Victorian middle classes, it pokes fun at the hypocrist and contradictions of late 19th century decorum. Her double bill has been described as highly enjoyable, superbly bizarre dance theatre, beautifully imaginative, insistent entertainment and very funny.
