Details

Played out against the background of the potato famine in Ireland, it tells a timeless love story of a boy and girl who fall in love, only to be separated as they travel to America in search of a better life and their struggle against the dark forces that conspire to keep them apart. Their love of music and dance sustains them throughout their hardships, and the Old World meets the New in a sparkling duel between the brash style of New York and the more traditional, but equally energetic, Irish tap dance.
