From Here to Maturity - Any Queen/Before You Can Run/Entertainers Wanted

From Here to Maturity

Work:: From Here to Maturity (S02057707759)

From Here to Maturity is an artist-led organisation and its members, whose ages range from late forty to early 70s. It aims to challenge ageism and prejudice by making original and imaginative dance pieces which entertain, stimulate and touch and emotions.

Production:: Any Queen/Before You Can Run/Entertainers Wanted (T01476191394)

This triple bill of new dance work opens with Any Queen, a haunting solo choreographed and danced by Ann Dickie (Director of From Here to Maturity), which combines her eclectic past experiences as a dancer with music by Philip Glass and Purcell. Lost Dog's Before You Can Run is a theatrical and quirky group piece combining dance, text, live folk music and dark humour. The closing piece is Bettina Strickler's Entertainers Wanted, an entirely fictional account of five dancers' journey through the world of dance.
