Deborah Colker Dance Company - Casa

Deborah Colker Dance Company

Work:: Deborah Colker Dance Company (S817584175)

Production:: Casa (T0582999549)

In Casa, Colker’s trademark fusion of high energy and cheeky modern dance is perfectly employed to explore the goings on inside a constantly morphing multi-level house, where walls become floors and floors become ceilings. Everyday routines and gestures are transformed into vibrantly contemporary dance and recognisably classical steps are revved up and subverted by colloqiual gesture. The unique set is constantly used to challenge ideas of space and gravity, of what can and can’t be done. And with the exhilarating expertise and split-second timing of Companhia de Danca Deborah Colker, the world of ’can’t’ is rapidly diminishing! Running time 60 mins with no interval.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
