Details

The piece is based on poems written by Laura's mother, addressed to her children and discovered after her death. The title of the piece comes from the first line of the first poem. Steckler, who is based in Scotland, describes Dancing on the Moon as a series of movement paintings. She refers to her method of performance as 'Body Theatre', a practice combining Yoga, Butoh, contemporary dance/theatre and original text. (NB: Contains brief nudity). Developed with support of SAC lottery funding.
