Chitraleka Dance Company have managed to combine thousands of years of Indian dance tradition with modern science into a spectacular and unique new 'sacred story'. Inspired by primo Levi's book 'The Periodic Table', 'The Story of C' is performed by an international group of dancers drawn from the UK, USA and India and choreographed by one of the unique voices in Indian dance, Chitraleka Bolar. Artistic Director of the company, Chitraleka Bolar describes the work as 'Indian dance movements choreographed to a musical fusion of Indian classical, jazz and modern styles, while images are juxtaposed with haunting, evocative digital projections - the mysteries of science are told through the mysteries of ancient dance and cutting-edge modern technology'
