We are living longer and dancing longer. The older person is often marginalised, and with young, athletic and muscular bodies emblazoned everywhere, we are told that dance is only for the young. The mature dancer, however, brings something unique: a seasoned and experienced body memory, a different aesthetic and energy, perhaps a deeper understanding of performance.
