One woman s obsession with the human body becomes a sexy, snappy and smart 21st century variety show that assaults the senses, plays with the emotions and challenges the mind in BODY -CELEBRATION OF THE MACHINE. A pounding piece of physical theatre BODY - CELEBRATION OF THE MACHINE spotlights the ironies and the intricacies of the body as a machine incorporating stand-up comedy, yogic trance dance, puppetry, acrobatics, song, music, multi-media and dramatic monologue. In 1 hour 10 minutes, 'warm charming and highly skilled physical performer (Australian Herald Sun) British born Amanda Owen delights the audience with questions and scenarios that will have everyone looking at their bodies in a completely different way. A layered spectacular which includes enormous multi-media anatomical images by award-winning Melbourne designer Lin Tobias and an original and intoxicating dance music soundscape from composer and Melbourne Women s Circus musical director, Kim Baston. The show runs one hour ten minutes no interval. Suitable for 15 years plus.
