The Whatsonstage.com Awards Concert has become one of the highlights of the theatregoing calendar. An unmissable night with lots of glitz, glamour and fun and a chance for you, the theatregoer voter, to take part in the culmination of the only major theatre accolades decided by the public. That evening comprised a two-hour concert performed by a roll call of West End stars and over 20 trophy presentations to the likes of Eddie Izzard, Michael Grandage, Ray Davies, Bob Gaudio, Ryan Molloy, Sofia Escobar, Gregory Doran, Tracie Bennett and many others. Competing for the top musical awards in 2010 are West End juggernauts Sister Act, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Spring Awakening andA Little Night Music; the concert will feature performances from selected nominated shows and their stars. CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
