A highly accomplished musician and member of Only Men Aloud, one of the vocal coaches to Only Boys Aloud and Only Kids Aloud, conductor Daniel Philips is also responsible for bringing together the newly formed Cardiff Chamber Orchestra. Together with guest artistes Jeffrey Howard, Gwenllian Evans and Meilir Jones, their popular and varied programme for this evening includes everything from opera and show music to film and classical numbers: from Shostakovich's 2nd Piano Concerto, arguably one of the most beautiful ever written for the piano, to music from the masterful Mozart and Wales' own dear Ivor Novello.
