Founded by Otto Goldschmidt in 1876 (for the first performance in the UK of Bach's Mass in B minor) and Bach Choir has flourished and become renowned for its performances of great choral works at home and abroad. This Gala Concert is a celebration of that history and reputation and promises to be an exciting gala event for both Choir and audience. The evening will be hosted by Dame Janet Baker (one of the Choir's Vice Presidents) and include a guest appearance from the Choir's Conductor Laureate, Sir David Willcocks. The concert will include works by Brahms and Vaughan Williams and culminate in a performance of Walton's Belshazzar's Feast.
