Production:: (T998186683)

Following our celebrations of Verdi in the Autumn, we celebrate one of the twentieth century greats - Richard Rodgers - in his centenary year, 2002. His partnership with lyricist Lorenz Hart produced a string of great musical comedies, including The Boys From Syracuse, On Your Toes and Pal Joey, and placed them among the most popular of American songwriters. His collaboration with Oscar Hammerstein II produced some of Broadway's most successful shows ever. Oklahoma, South Pacific and their last work The Sound of Music, all enjoyed unprecedented success and are as popular as ever on stage and film.
