Simon Care and Friends

Work:: Simon Care and Friends (S0881410188)

Production:: (T216129381)

Over the last twenty years Simon Care has probably been the busiest melodeon player on the planet! The Albion Band, Edward II, Tickled Pink, The Larkrise Band, Whapweasel and The Morris On Band have taken him around the world at least a couple of times. Now he brings together the cream of the UK's new generation of folk artists in a special one-off benefit concert for Devon's folk arts development charity Wren Music: haunting singer / fiddler (and winner of two BBC Folk Awards) Jackie Oates; cheeky and charming Jim Causley, with a voice akin to the fruitiest of real ales; Sam Lee, described by The Independent as "one of the most promising folk singers to emerge from the London scene this decade”; and one of the most accomplished harmonica players in the world, Will Pound; along with artists from Wren Music and more.
