The Norwegian Chamber Orchestra visits with joint Artistic Director Isabelle van Keulen and Principal Guest Director Leif Ove Andsnes, taking charge from their respective instruments. Two contrasting works by Mozart - the sparkling 'Haffner' Symphony and the more dramatic C minor Piano Concerto - frame Scandinavian pieces new and old: Grieg's beloved string-orchestra classic and Danish Bent Sørensen's new piano concerto, La mattina, which the composer regards as containing both his 'darkest and most profound' music.
