Born in Manchester to Irish parents, Michael has been living and breathing traditional music since he was knee high to a pint of Guinness. Since his 1996 debut album 'Morning Rory' he has been taking the traditional and crossover world by storm with his innovative flute and uilean piping style. A former member of Flook, in 1998 Mike was invited to join Scottish folk legends Capercaillie and has worked with many other famous names.
