Twelve concerts of classical, choral, chamber and jazz, under the banner, 'Love's Labours', are to be programmed around themes of love, romance and Shakespeare as the Summer Music in City Churches Festival returns for its sixth year. Hosted this summer in the historic church of St Giles-without-Cripplegate within London's Square Mile, where William Shakespeare himself is believed to have worshipped and just a stone's throw from where his First Folio was printed 400 years ago.

With words and music celebrating Faure in his centenary and Shakespeare's immortal genius, plus a joyous choral finale for all the family, highlights of the programme include performances by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and City of London Choir, and artists including Roderick Williams, Rachel Nicholls and David Greco, pianists Iain Farrington, Nigel Hess, Elizabeth Sombart, Mark Bebbington and Viv McLean, violinists Fenella Humphreys and David Juritz, plus Art Deco Trio, Tier3 Trio, Brother Tree Sound string quartet and Curve Ensemble.
