Lambert and Walton were the hottest composers in England during the 1920s - both part of the dazzling circle that clustered around the aristocratic Edith Sitwell and her brothers. Walton took the world by storm at the age of 21with his daring Facade, a musical backdrop for Edith to declaim her wild poems against. Lambert scored an even greater success with Rio Grande, which sets a poem by Edith's brother Sacheverell. These were vital and exciting times...come and hear the music that exploded out of them!
