Following the enormous success of his 2008 Gala Concert at the Hall, José Carreras returns for a new evening in aid of the José Carreras International Leukaemia Foundation and Asthma UK, once again sponsored by The Hottinger Group. This year's Gala will be a celebration of young talent. The first half of the evening will be a semi-staged performance of the Party Scene from Die Fledermaus featuring Diva Opera and young stars from the Solti-Te Kanawa Academia with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by maestro David Giménez. The second half will include performances by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, José Carreras, Alfie Boe, winner of Placido Domingo's Operalia competition Dimos Flemotomos, as well as other surprise guests!
