Bucks Fizz

Bucks Fizz

Work:: Bucks Fizz (S143)

Early in 1981, four complete strangers sat in the drawing room of a house in Fulham and were told: "you are now Bucks Fizz". In the eight weeks between that first meeting and appearing on "A Song for Europe" on 11th March 1981, Bucks Fizz were hurled into a melee of rehearsing, recording, routining, styling, interviews and photography. All that hard work and effort was to pay dividends - they went on to win the Song For Europe and Eurovision Song Contest 1981 and became household names around the world.

Production:: (T883244822)

Buck Fizz formed in 1981 to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest that year, they won with Making Your Mind Up, which is still their best know song. The group went on to have a successful career around the world, including three UK No.1 singles and became one of the top-selling groups of the 1980s. The group was initially made up of four vocalists Bobby G, Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston whose gimmick was that they were all blond. After appearing on Pop Goes The Band for Living TV Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston decided to reform as the original Bucks Fizz alongside Mike Nolan. This will be their first tour together in 24 years!
