Bobby Wellins - with Guests

Work:: Bobby Wellins (S0414322544)

Bobby Wellins is a great survivor from the 1960s generation of British jazz, the first generation that really began to strike a distinctive British voice. He remains a key figure on the scene today with a truly original sound and voice on the tenor saxophone.

2012 sees Bobby Wellins touring with a special quartet featuring the highly regarded Italian pianist Andrea Pozza on piano, the UK drummer Mark Taylor now resident in New York, and Andrew Cleyndert on bass. Now approaching his 76th year, Bobby Wellins continues to demonstrate his peerless talents as one of the most inventive and creative masters of the saxophone.
