BBC Proms in the Park, London

Work:: BBC Proms in the Park, London (S0755149431)

Production:: (T1648036327)

This year the Last Night celebrations in Hyde Park include the grand finale of BBC Two's series Maestro. Sir Terry Wogan returns to the Park to introduce a host of international stars including legendary tenor José Carreras, top opera star Lesley Garrett and virtuoso violinist David Garrett. Proms in the Park favourites the BBC Concert Orchestra return, conducted by Martin Yates, to fill the park with orchestral favourites. The fun kicks off late afternoon as Aled Jones gets the party under way with Abba tribute band Björn Again, all-male vocal group Teatro and boisterous 12-piece big band Bellowhead plus more acts to be announced. The evening culminates in a live big-screen link-up to the Royal Albert Hall, so you can sing your socks off in the irresistible sequence of familiar tunes - including Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and the National Anthem, led by the Royal Choral Society.
