Paul Lacey's Back To Basie Orchestra were voted Best Big Band at the British Jazz Awards in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. Back to Basie is Britain's primary Count Basie tribute orchestra, directed by trumpet player Paul Lacey and featuring top session musicians and jazz soloists dedicated to playing the music of Count Basie's second great orchestra of the 1950s and 1960s.

Back to Basie’s top London session men and jazz soloists capture those dynamics previously only mastered by the Count Basie Orchestra.
