A Grand Night for Singing

A Grand Night for Singing

Work:: A Grand Night for Singing (S1256207240)

Production:: (T0776651031)

Three of Britain’s finest operatic stars, Susan Bullock, Yvonne Howard and Frances McCafferty, combine with the award-winning Kinder Children’s Choirs of the High Peak in a celebratory Birthday Concert for the Kinder Choir Founder Director, Joyce Ellis. The concert marks Joyce’s outstanding contribution to choral singing amongst hundreds of young people in the High Peak and beyond during the past two decades. Susan Bullock has established herself as Britain’s leading Wagnerian soprano and opens next season as Elektra at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Yvonne Howard, recently hailed as ‘surely one of the finest singing actresses this country has produced’, is a well-known favourite with Buxton Festival audiences. Frances McCafferty, a regular guest artist at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden, is also well-known to Opera House audiences through her inimitable performances at Buxton Festival. It’s going to be a grand night, indeed.
