We are proud to present a concert marking what would have been the 70th birthday of Music in the Round's founder, Peter Cropper, who died suddenly in May 2015. We have left his introductory words as he gave them to us. He made an immense impression on chamber music worldwide, both as a brilliant performer and as a passionate advocate for it. "For my 70th birthday concert I have chosen Haydn and Beethoven trios as Martin and Moray have shared the most significant part of my present performing life. Those two composers have also been crucial to the history of Music in the Round and my passion for chamber music." Peter CropperPerformer Martin Roscoe (piano). Performer Moray Welsh (cello). Performer Katharine Gower (violin).
