Production:: The 2010 London Improvathon (T01403041664)
The weekend of 22-24 January 2010 will see the third annual 50-hour 'Improvathon' take the stage at Hoxton Hall, one of the country's last remaining music halls. Presented by The Sticking Place, in association with Canadian improvisation company Die-Nasty, the event is now an annual fixture in London's entertainment calendar having previously played at the People Show Studios in 2008 and 2009. the third Improvathon, which is entirely improvised in the moment, is set in Victorian London and will feature live music and a myriad of characters from the period shaping stories and mystery and intrigue. What secrets lie in the shadows and fog of gas-lit London? What mysteries lurk in the old music hall theatre? What horror hides in the castle overlooking the eerie Dudley Moors? Nicholas Rowe and Alan Cox, who played ‘Holmes’ and ‘Watson’ respectively in Barry Levinson’s 1985 film Young Sherlock Holmes, are to reprise their roles live on stage for the 2010 London Improvathon 25 years after they appeared together on screen.
