Bored of the Bard, his dysfunctional characters are going for comedy. This night of great comedy is written and performed by Alex Dee, Mackenzie Taylor & Hils Barker. Richard III's got the hump. Katherine's shrewed off. Hamlet's lost his marbles. Ophelia's sinking fast. 400 years of being yawned at by sixth formers has finally got to them. Four dramatis personae have recast themselves*as stand-up comics. Packing their corsets and codpieces, these fractured, posturing, sinister, self-obsessed, attention-craving egocentrics are forced to cope with the fractured, posturing, sinister, self-obsessed attention-craving egocentric modern world. Anti-heroes, madwomen, villains and sexual deviants, the characters have found it surprisingly easy to fit into today's society. Over the course of an hour of inspired stand-up, they publicly explore their frankly dubious interpretations of 21st century life, with none other than the official Greatest Writer in History personally doing the hosting! Celebrated comic actors Alex Dee, Mackenzie Taylor and Hils Barker show that tragedy plus timing equals four characters with an axe to grind in a 10-minute open spot.
