Originally founded in 1998 as a studio-theatre introducing young people to the world of theatre, Arlekin changed direction to explore the world of the clown. The change led to great success amongst the public and critics, leading to the award, "The Best Youth Theatrical Group of Lithuania of 2007" and the prestigious national award "The Golden Bird" in 2009. Arlekin participated in international theatre festivals in Austria and Belgium (2009). A series of charmingly poetic, pantomime etudes exploring the world of people’s behaviour! Arlekin uses the art of the clown to challenge established attitudes and opinions whilst drawing the audience into their magical world.
