With the conclusion of Sara Dowling's further appearance in the JBGB Events 2021 Jazz Divas series, she returns to Crazy Coqs for the EFG London Jazz Festival. Sara is now recognised as one of the U.K's leading jazz vocalists and awarded “Best Vocalist” in the 2019 British Jazz Awards. She has a compelling stage presence coupled with a distinctive voice that marks her out as a unique musical force. She is known for her interpretations of classic ballads, leaving audiences spell bound, as well as the energy and vigour with which she tackles the up tempo standards from the American Song Book. Her distinctive voice owes much to her Irish father and Palestinian mother, surrounded by the records of her father's jazz collection and the chant like voices of Arabic singers. Sara's album From Shadows Into Light received a five star review from Jazz Journal. She returns with her outstanding trio of the in demand and much revered Ross Stanley - piano, Dario Di Lecce - double bass and regular British Jazz Awards Best Drummer Steve Brown.
