Prelude is a cabaret event showcasing fresh new musical theatre writing and emerging talent. After a sold out performance at Above The Arts, Prelude is back for one night only at Tristan Bates Theatre on Monday 18 June. Brought to you by a team of Mountview graduates and collaborators, the evening will present songs from a number of new shows currently in development. Featured musicals include Triangularity, Liz, Much Ado About Hero, Brothers, Audrey and Forgive Us, Oh Father. Join us for a joyous evening celebrating new writing, memorable melodies and bright young talent. The evening features performances from a host of emerging talent including Marc Mackinnon (Metropolis) and Charlotte Forster (In Versions), and is being held as a fundraiser to facilitate the next instalment of Maiden Speech, a festival launched in 2017 that successfully staged nine new plays by female-identifying artists to critical acclaim.
