On The Fringe - Bebe+Lun Present 'The Cabaret Farce'/Mr Meredith/Virgin Xtravaganzah

Work:: On The Fringe (S01877284645)

A showcase of acts headed for the Edinburgh Fringe. Bebe van der Belt, Luna Peach, Mr. Meredith and Virgin Xtravaganzah.

Production:: Bebe+Lun Present 'The Cabaret Farce'/Mr Meredith/Virgin Xtravaganzah (T01313886080)

Bebe+Luna Present 'The Cabaret Farce' - Conceived after two actor/singer/musicians, Amy Burke & Geri Allen, had a cheeky dalliance in the world of burlesque. Seduced by the shameless juxtaposing of glamour with comedy, and the reckless spirit of 'YES YOU CAN!', these two women emerged forever changed. They took their favourite elements of burlesque and threw them in a blender with a traditional cabaret, and something exciting emerged: The Cabaret Farce. Part jazz cabaret, part play-goes-wrong, The Cabaret Farce toes the line between the glamorous and the ridiculous. Mr Meredith 'Thrill-Seeking Pianist SLTM Like-Minded Audience for SNA Fun and Good Times' - Funny songs, smutty innuendoes, singalongs and a coquettish swipe at society: Mister Meredith is searching for the next thrill, finding more distractions, and generally looking over your shoulder in case there's someone better-looking behind you. Virgin Xtravaganzah - Heaven is boring. Gawd is old. She is a 2,000+ year old virgin and she has had enough! So she has come down to earth to be a superstar! Based in London, she is cabaret performer, drag queen, singer, song parody writer, host, model, and promoter, and is currently running her 'Xtravaganzah' variety show nights at The Bethnal Green Working Men's Club. Virgin is the current title holder for London's Next Top Queen as judged by Michelle Visage. Performing regularly she has also opened for Jinkx Monsoon at The Meth Lab, and Adore Delano, Jujubee and Detox at West 5. She declares she is a Virgin on a mission, and is determined to fill the world with her celestial Xtravaganzah!
