This North Wales painter deals with the familiar as a recorder and observer. He becomes absorbed by light, its effects on surfaces, forms and their colour. His subject matter is ever changing, as is his viewpoint and sense of scale. Sometimes he works with close-ups of personal objects, whilst more often he looks to his garden and landscape environments. He strives to include detail not immediately obvious and usually works in series. The exhibition consists of several large works on canvas alongside drawings and smaller paintings.
