Details
The Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto is one of the most important founders of the Arte Povera movement, an anti-commercial art form concerned primarily with the physical qualities of the medium and the mutability of the materials. Over the years her has incorporated theatre, music, performance, architecture, film, video and literature into his work. This exhibition, made in collaboration with the Henry Moore Sculpture Studio in Halifax and the MACBA, Barcelona, Spain, will include twenty-two mirror works produced between 1962 and 1992 including photographs, sculptures, and silkscreens. This exhibition is an investigation into the way that the artist's own perception of space has changed but remained consistently relevant to contemporary practice and artists of today.
