Details

In Toledo, every good woman has a lover, and Conception, the clockmaker's wife, has two - an artist and a bank manager. They spend this Spanish Hour concealed in the grandfather clocks. In Zanzibar, the housewife Therese frees herself from drudgery by allowing her breasts to escape. Her husband is upset but must throw himself into repopulating the neighbourhood, and by Act Two has single-handedly had 40,049 babies.
