Three stories of young carers and their struggle to get recognition and help - particularly as it affects their time and at school. Having said that, one of the stories relates to a 4 year old carer who had to help her mother learn to talk and walk again - as she says, it was only 3 years before that she had learned to walk herself. We also here from social services and support organisations as they suffer repeated funding cuts and staff loses. Young carers have no rights when it comes to their parents/siblings care plans and get no financial support as they are underage with changes to social security and living support payments usually making matters worse. Young carers ar unpaid child labourers who save the country billions in care costs. Yep, ths play really got its message over.
